How do I change my company name? +
You can change it by Passing a special resolution of shareholders or submitting relevant filings to Companies House.
Can I change my company type (e.g., from Ltd to LLP)? +
No, you can't convert from one company type to another directly. You'll need to close the old company and register a new one.
How do I change the registered office address? +
  • Update it using Form AD01 (online or by post)
  • It must be in the same UK jurisdiction (England/Wales, Scotland, or NI)
  • A physical address (not a PO box), though virtual offices are allowed
How do I appoint or remove a director? +
Submit an order for Appointing or removal of a director. Changes must be reported within 14 days of the appointment or resignation.
Can a director change their service address or personal details? +
Yes a director can change their service address or personal address. Submit a request to us and we will update it for you.
How do I update shareholder details? +
Shareholder changes can be updated on the confirmation statement filed annually or filed immediately (inform us of any changes to the shareholders records).
How do I issue or transfer shares? +
  • To issue new shares: Use a board resolution, update the register of members, and submit the relevant filings.
  • To Transfer shares: Use a stock transfer form; no need to notify Companies House unless share capital changes

How do I change my company's share structure? +
  • We can file the relevant forms depending on the type of change (e.g., subdivision, consolidation, redenomination)
  • Pass resolutions as required by the Companies Act 2006
How do I change the accounting reference date? +
  • We can submit changes to your company's Accounting reference date to Companies House.
  • You can extend the period once every 5 years (unless approved by Companies House)
  • Shorten it as often as you like
How do I update Persons with Significant Control (PSC)? +
We can file updates to the PSC register and update your company PSC. Changes must be reported within 14 days and updated on the central register within 14 days after that.
How do I change the company's articles of association? +
  • You must pass a special resolution
  • Submit the new articles to Companies House. Contact us for support.
How long does it take for changes to be approved? +
Most filings are processed within 48 hours and approved by Companies House within 24 to 48 hours. Paper submissions approval could take 1 – 4 weeks depending on Companies House work load.
Do I need shareholder approval for all changes? +
  • Not all—but yes for:
  • Changing the company name
  • Altering share capital
  • Changing articles of association
  • These require special resolutions (75% majority approval).
Can I change directors' or shareholders' nationalities or names? +
Yes, via Confirmation statement by placing an order for confirmation statement filing. You'll need supporting documentation if requested.
Can I switch company officers from individuals to corporate entities (or vice versa)? +
  • Yes, you can appoint a corporate director
  • Ensure you meet UK regulations (e.g., having at least one natural person as a director)
